Remember September 11th and Pray

September 11th, 2001 was a dark day in the history of our country. We are constantly growing more complacent about what we lost that day, and what we could always lose again. Some of us lost loved ones in the attack and have that steady reminder of the lurking danger. Most of us moved on with our lives and have forgotten.

I watched a lot of footage of the attacks and the aftermath yesterday. It struck me how intense the attacks were. When the camera was a safe distance away, we could see smoke billowing from the towers and the voice of news reporters. But when you see the camera footage of the people who were actually there, you can see what a warzone this was. You can hear people groaning and see people drop from the towers. The smoke consumed everything in sight. People sobbed and shuffled through the debris for their loved ones.

How could we ever forget?

Remember what we are fighting for. Remember how precious our freedom is. Remember the people who sacrificed themselves to save others that day. Remember to pray for the victims, their loved ones, and this country.

You were born where you are, in this time period, for a reason. Learn why. Pray for this country and your part in its history because history is being made, and we are at a fork in the road.

Help us, Lord.
